Sunday Reset

A Sunday reset will set you up for a productive and enjoyable week. It promotes a proactive approach to organizing and managing your space, time, responsibilities, and well-being, setting the stage for a more productive and fulfilling week. This weekly reset is important because it allows you to reflect, plan, and prepare for the week ahead. Here are some things you should incorporate into your Sunday reset:

Plan out your week:

Take some time to review your calendar, appointments, and commitments for the upcoming week. By organizing your calendar, prioritizing tasks, and scheduling important activities, you can optimize your time and ensure that you allocate sufficient time for both work and personal activities. Amongst other things, organizing reduces stress and anxiety. If you haven’t already done so, make a to-do list or create a schedule to help you stay organized and focused.

Review your goals and priorities:

This is important to do weekly because it will help you to remember and plan out your priorities for the week. Reflect on your long-term goals and the progress you’ve made. Assess your priorities for the week ahead and determine what tasks and activities align with your goals. This will help you stay focused and motivated throughout the week.By setting clear objectives, you can focus your energy and efforts on the most important tasks and keep making progress towards your long-term goals.

Clean, organize, and declutter your space:

Tidy up your living space, including your workspace if applicable. Clean surfaces, put away items, and declutter any areas that have become messy or disorganized. Maybe its your cosmetics that need some decluttering and organizing, or maybe it’s your entertaining essentials are in need of some organization – whatever the area, an organized environment will help you start the week with a clear mind. Here are five spaces to start with that make your home look more cluttered than it actually is

Incorporate weekly meal planning and prep:

Plan your meals for the week and do some meal planning and prepping on Sunday. Prepare some healthy snacks, portion out ingredients, or cook meals in advance to not only save time during busy weekdays but to also incorporate sustainability. This can also help you make healthier food choices throughout the week.

Check-in with your laundry and wardrobe:

Take care of any laundry that needs to be done, so you have clean clothes ready for the week. Laundry is a task, with many steps, which can make it difficult to complete. Setting up a weekly routine for this task is what gets you to the finish line. It is also a great idea to plan your outfits for each day to save time and eliminate decision-making in the mornings. If your clothes need to be dry cleaned, planning this ahead of time and creating a system for this will also keep you from running into any surprises.

Take some time for rest and relaxation:

Dedicate some time on Sunday for self-care activities that help you relax and recharge. This includes any activities that are meaningful to you such as taking a bath, reading a book, practicing mindfulness or meditation, going to church, spending time with loved ones, going for a walk, or engaging in a hobby you enjoy. It’s a day to recharge and rejuvenate before the demands of the week begin.

Set your intentions:

Take a few moments to set positive intentions for the week ahead. Visualize your desired outcomes, affirm your capabilities, and cultivate a positive mindset. This can help you approach the week with a sense of purpose and optimism. Taking the time  for your Sunday reset will set you up for success!

Remember, a Sunday reset should be tailored to your individual needs and preferences. The goal is to create a sense of organization and preparedness, allowing you to start your week on a positive note. A Sunday reset, with tasks such as meal prepping, organizing your workspace, or completing household chores, will enhance your productivity as you enter the week with a sense of order and preparedness.
